NEWS FLASH! Winter Break Riding Camp!Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 29-30. Chase
away cabin fever, improve your riding, and have fun with friends at a two-day winter vacation camp for riders
age 8 – 15! Bring your own horse, or use one of ours, and enjoy lessons in Fancy Hill Farm’s large indoor ring.
The camp is designed for intermediate riders (e.g., Pony Club levels D2-C2) and will include two hours of small
group lessons each day, as well as two hours of hands-on horsemanship instruction. Topics include “winterizing”
your horse; use of gymnastic exercises in training; first aid and bandaging; feeding for different needs; and
mane pulling, trimming and other “advanced” grooming techniques.
Instructors Chris Kelly and Cindy Judson have both taught riding for over 20 years to riders of all ages
and abilities – from beginners to winners of prestigious state and national-level championships in the hunter,
jumper and equitation divisions, as well as Pony Club and collegiate teams.
Cost: $175 for riders bringing their own horse; includes overnight stall and bedding; $160 for riders using
one of our Farm horses (these spaces are limited; sign up early!) Located at Fancy Hill Farm, One Equus Loop,
Natural Bridge, VA. Take Exit 180B (Fancy Hill) off of I-81; travel ˝ mile north on Rte. 11. The Farm is on your

What is Pony Club?
Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented
throughout 30 countries! The United States has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout
48 states and the Virgin Islands, with more than 12,000 members.
Mission
The mission of the United States Pony Clubs is to provide a program for youth that teaches
riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility,
moral judgment, leadership, and self-confidence.
Guiding Beliefs
- USPC is an educational organization which progressively develops the well-rounded horseperson.
